Release Notes
Sphere Flood 3 - Huge piles of perfectly stacked marbles collapse which chain-reacts in knocking down other piles to be knocked down. There is a gutter system around the edges but is not fully working.
Known Issues:

  • Poor performance, if you have a good CPU, preferably a quad core or high end dual core you should be able to play at a rate that is good. PPU would benefit greatly
  • Marbles are heavy so if you are wondering why they are not moving much when you shoot them, that’s why
  • Missing skybox

Notes: Marbles are not exactly smooth to prevent performance issues

Smash - A large marble pushes a mountain of small marbles up two ramps. The map is like a constant cycle: large marble pushes small marbles of platform; large marbles slides back and continues the pattern.
Known Issues:

  • The large marble can push small marbles through the flooring
  • Poor performance, a good CPU is required. PPU would benefit greatly

Yellow Flood – A flood of yellow marbles pouring down a ramp to the ground. Basically a test on different shades of colours.

Red Flood - A flood of red marbles pouring down a ramp to the ground. Basically a test on different shades of colours.

Wall Knocker II - A sequel to original created with Bullet’s physics engine implemented by Erwin. Surprisingly my YouTube video was put up on C4’s Wiki. Basically there are two marbles that venture down a couple ramps smashing through walls, after a certain amount of time a cup holding many little colourful spheres comes down to clear the path.
Two versions are available; one is for normal viewing and another for low friction fun.
Known Issues:

  • Marbles roll way to slow in the normal version

Marble Floods – This level I have payed the most attention to. Because I am using the demo’s default game functions the level has been made into a spectator based level however in the full game you can roll on the level with a marble actor. The level is not easily explainable so I am going to leave it up to you to find out by having a play

If you are experiencing bad performance choose one of the optimised versions.

OPTIMISED-01 – No shadows, small marbles have 20×10 subdivisions
OPTIMISED-02 – No shadows, small marbles have 16×8 subdivisions
OPTIMISED-03 – No shadows, small marbles have 16×8 subdivisions, medium and large marble subdivisions have been greatly lowered.

For any graphics related performance issues be sure to change your texture resolution in the Graphics Menu and select the settings that fits with your GFX card:
128mb GFX Memory – Low
256mb GFX Memory – Medium
512mb or more GFX Memory – High (if you experience problems switch to medium)
768mb GFX or higher Memory – High
The textures are currently at 1024×1024 on high, which is why this is needed.

Known Issues:

  • Overlapping textures
  • The large marble can push small marbles through the flooring
  • Major performance issues on older machines unless you choose a much reduced version.
  • Optimised versions are different to the normal version. The normal has better positioning of objects which stops the jittering texture bug
